Cost of Hiring a Brooklyn Personal Assistant
Employment agencies’ fees in Brooklyn vary based on the agency selected and how complex the search is. They typically charge fees that range from 10% to 20%, or even higher. If the salary is $50,000 for the personal assistant and the agency charges 15%, their fee would be $7,500. We don’t work that way.
We provide candidate matches and arrange video interviews for you with your selected matches free of charge. When you are ready to hire your top choice of candidates, a one-time placement fee of $550 is due.
You pay your PA their wages directly. Most candidates ask $25-$35/hr.

It's possible! Our database is constantly in flux with onboarding new candidates or older candidates filling their availability. Whether or not we have any bilingual candidates is subject to change at any given time.

Any personal assistant in The Middle can be 100% remote or virtual if that’s what you’re looking for. The difference between the remote personal assistants that you’ll get with The Middle versus one you might get from a traditional virtual assistant is that even if you hire a remote personal assistant, your PA will still be local to your area. This way, you’ll have someone working for you who is familiar with the area and located in the same time zone as you for ease of communication.

How to Ensure Confidentiality and Privacy when Hiring a Brooklyn Personal Assistant
In order to maintain a high level of confidentiality and privacy when hiring a personal assistant, several essential measures can be implemented. Begin by conducting a thorough background check on potential candidates, including verifying their references and previous work experiences. Introduce comprehensive confidentiality agreements or non-disclosure agreements (NDAs) that outline the sensitive nature of the role and the expectations for handling confidential information. During the interview process, inquire about the candidate's previous experience in maintaining discretion and handling sensitive data. Once hired, provide clear guidelines on data handling and storage, and restrict access to sensitive information on a need-to-know basis. Regularly review and reinforce the importance of confidentiality and privacy to ensure a secure working relationship.
The Middle does not conduct background checks. California's "Ban the Box" Assembly Bill 1008 prevents background checks from being conducted before an offer of employment is on the table. Since The Middle is a California company, and the candidates are not The Middle's employees, we are not legally allowed to perform a background check. We do conduct reference checks.
