What is an administrative assistant?
An administrative assistant is someone who supports business operations by managing clerical tasks, paperwork, and schedules. The middle’s admin assistants support any scale business, as well as life admin!
What’s the difference between a personal assistant and an administrative assistant?
A personal assistant manages tasks that support an individual’s busy personal life and household, whereas an administrative assistant focuses on tasks that support an individual’s professional life and business. Traditional administrative assistants may report to an office and work a formal “9-5”, whereas our assistants work on a part-time, flexible basis. They may handle your tasks either remotely from their home or occasionally report to your home or home office as needed.
Personal assistants at The Middle are also skilled administrators and are flexible and adaptable to handle both personal and business-related tasks.

Cost of Hiring an Administrative Assistant
Traditional employment agencies charge a 20% commission fee on a candidate’s salary. Other job boards and marketplaces can charge hundreds of dollars to keep your job ad up for as long as it takes to find the right applicant (and then leave you to do all the reviewing of resumes!). We do things differently.
We are happy to provide you with candidates who match your job description free of charge. We’ll also coordinate and schedule video interviews at your convenience at no additional fee. If you would like to hire a candidate, we charge a one-time placement fee of $550. You pay your new part-time admin assistant their hourly wages directly.
Unlike candidates on traditional job boards and marketplaces, our administrative assistants are not looking for full-time positions with an annual salary. Our part-time administrative assistants charge hourly rates between $25-$35, depending on experience.
