FAQs

  • You are able to interview as many candidates as you’d like. We’ll typically provide you with 3-5 candidate matches to start. You can interview everyone, only some, or no one. There is no obligation to hire anyone you interview, and we’ll be happy to schedule follow-ups or share more candidates if available until you feel confident and ready to hire!

  • The Middle only places part-time positions (approximately 5-25 hours per week). This works best for busy professionals who do not have enough work for an assistant all day every day, but could use support throughout the week for all of the “little things” that keep life and/or business running smoothly.

  • These positions are typically expected to be within 9am-6pm Monday-Friday. Our assistants are not on-call or expected to be available without at least 1 business days’ notice. Candidates who are listed on The Middle are comfortable with flexible schedules and variable hours each week.

  • To begin, complete our Client Questionnaire describing your needs and personal preferences (we’ll walk you through all the information needed!).

We will then share your best personal assistant matches, based on the information you have provided. Profiles of matches will arrive in your inbox for your review. When you’re ready to interview matches, simply provide your availability, and we’ll set up video interviews at your convenience.

After the video interviews, you choose your favorite personal assistant to hire. We’ll connect you directly with your hire and then you two will take it from there! We are not involved in the employment; our services are to facilitate introductions to qualified, appropriate candidates.

  • Generally, a personal assistant from The Middle can start working within a week. If there are any constraints on their start date, this would be communicated during the interview process.
